“Tis the Season”
The 2020 race season has now come to a close. Champions have been crowned in the SARRC series and in the Hoosier Super Tour/Majors series leading to the Runoffs at Road America. Congratulations to all of you that represented the Southeast Division so successfully. You made us all champions.
The season started with anticipation and excitement in Homestead and Sebring, then took a four month break due to the Covid-19 pandemic and then roared back in June. The So
utheast Division has much to be proud of and much of that is due to our volunteer workers and the Regions that make it all happen.
We should also celebrate our newest drivers that attended our Driver Schools in 2020 earning their competition licenses and will be competing with us this coming season.
If Steve McQueen’s line; “Racing is life, everything else is just waiting” is true we in the Southeast are lucky since we have a short wait. While the cars are now in the garage and quiet, the mechanics and owners are busy preparing these fine-tuned machines for the coming season. The 2021 race schedule is now out and in less than thirty days we will gather again to begin the journey to Roebling Road and to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for 2021 championships.
Please make it one of your goals for 2021 to welcome and bring someone new to the track and to thank a volunteer worker in person. You will not be disappointed. You will have helped continue the sport and the family we all embrace known as SCCA road racing.

See you at the track.
